Visiting Ikea is one of our favourite weekend past time...and when we do visit, we'll definitely sit down for a good meal at the cafe :)

According to my friend, this place serves Malaysian local cusine... so we decided to try out and see how authentic their food is :) 

nasi lemak....my friend's favourite, not bad, but the spicyness is "toned down" quite a bit...



hor fun...i love anything with starchy gravy....hehe

Pine Garden's Cake

Finally...chanced upon this famous cake shop which I've been reading about on bridal magazines...bought 8 pieces of cakes home as a "contribution" for our family dinner party that day :D

(From 1 o'clock direction, L to R): Mango Passionfruit, Strawberry, Apple Vera Martini , Orange, Lychee Martini, Orange Zest ,Citrus Drop, Baileys Chocolate Crunch.

Prices are (surprisingly) reasonable...average price of $2.50 per piece of cake. The flavours are quite unique...especially those with liqour in it...baileys and martini.

Looks like we've got a good option for our Guo Da Li cakes :)

Received this 1 for 1 voucher in my email inbox from Breeks...hehe, how can we miss this offer?

We felt sort of "cheated"...cos when we ask the waitress who served us if we can use the "1 for 1 offer "on the ribeye steak, apparently she said it was possible. But when the bill came, the item that was deducted was the cheapest item...the chicken patty. Of course, that makes sense in the restaurant's viewpoint, but still, they shouldn't have made "empty promises" which turned out otherwise in the first place!

Anyway, that will probably be the last time that we're eating  there... unless there's another super good deal? haha

Let's Sweet@Bugis Junction

Today,we celebrate J regaining her weekend freedom...and me taking a rare sunday off work :) Met up at Bugis for our favourite weekend past time (before I lost my Sundays to the job)....eating and shopping......

This meal was our combined meals for the day...breakfast+lunch+dinner :D  There's a time limit of 80min to eat after sitting down, but for us, that's more than enough.



pizzas, salad and siew mai to start off....



there's also pasta....

there's a good variety of pizzas....hahaa....great for J...the pizza fan :)

and they are tasty!

the desserts....each round can only take 5 items...

ooo...i love the various mango desserts...

 ice cream with blueberry topping on freshly made crepe

apple caramel...

cakes and more cakes.... there are still many items that we haven't try... too full!!

This was actually my second visit to this restaurant....went to the outlet at J8 with hubbs the first time when they were having an opening promotion (20% off). Quite enjoyed it and hence decided to try again at the larger outlet in Bugis, but turned out to be a disappointment, as the range of food served was lesser than what I had in J8.

Well, that's not important...it is the company that matters ..had a really enjoyable afternoon with J :)
